CelloGuide is a site by cellists and for cellists. Founded and written by two professional cellists, our goal is to be your trusted guide to the world of cello playing. This site is for all cellists and the people who love them, whether you are a young or adult beginner, cello parent or grandparent, student, professional, or teacher. We write about all sorts of things: helpful tips for those just starting out (like how to sit with the cello or where notes are on the fingerboard), gift ideas, all sorts of reviews, and everything in between.
About those reviews…
Again, our goal is to be your trusted guide to the cello. We don’t accept any free gear from stores or manufacturers in exchange for a review. Everything we review is stuff we have either bought ourselves or begged, borrowed, or stolen from friends (just kidding about the stolen part). These are the things we would recommend to our own students and friends. If we don’t like a product, you will not see it featured on this site.
But you earn affiliate commissions…
That’s true and we do not try to hide that. If we post with an affiliate link, we will always state that in the post. If you buy a product through an affiliate link on our website, we earn a commission from the seller. There is no extra cost to you. If you don’t like that product and return it, we don’t make anything. There’s no point in us taking the time to write reviews of bad products. What’s most important to us is our readers’ trust.
